Mabotec is one of the largest and highly respected designers and manufacturers of Hydraulic Manifold Blocks within Europe and will be exhibiting a number of manifolds at the Fluid Power & Systems 2022 Exhibition to be held at the NEC in Birmingham, U.K. between 5 to 7 April 2022.
Based in Waalwijk in the Netherlands, Mabotec’s facility houses the very latest in high tech CNC automated production.
This sophisticated manufacturing facility offers the flexibility to meet all of your manifold requirements with a capacity to manufacture manifolds up to 10 tonnes.
To support our manufacturing, we can offer an in-house manifold design facility utilising bespoke manifold CAD and 3D modelling software.
Mabotec’s expertise allows us to offer a wide range of manufacturing materials, from one of the more common steels or aluminium alloys, through to stainless steels and bronze alloys.

Not long ago Mabotec invested in a new CNC lathe of the brand DOOSAN, type LYNX 2100LSYB
With this we have acquired the opportunity to produce hydraulic components such as plungers, blind plugs, cartridges, etc. for our customers.
In addition to the specialty in the production of hydraulic manifolds, we now add an extra dimension to produce certain components ourselves that can be mounted in or on the hydraulic manifold systems.
We now also like to act as a supplier for special turned parts for our customers.

Fossil energy sources are becoming increasingly expensive. In addition, the transition to other types of energy is encouraged from the public debate about this and from the government.
Mabotec, and its sister company Hydroplus, have recently switched to the partly self-generation of their electricity supply. With the installation of an area of 812 m2 of solar panels, 136,000 kWh per year of energy is now generated, which is 35% of the total electricity consumption.
This was made possible by the establishment of their own so-called Green Fund, from which more sustainable applications are being financed.
Mabotec likes sustainable business and contributes this way to the energy transition and cleaner environment.

MABOTEC recently has taken into service a CNC boring mill of the Czech fabricated Fermat. This boring machine, type CNC WFT 13, is being used for the production of heavy manifolds with a weight of 2 to 10 tons. The machine is provided by Promas Machines BV in Maasbree, which has provided excellent guidance and advice on this particular purchase.
Manifolds are used for precise and safe control of
various hydraulic equipment such as bridges, injection
molding machines and cranes. Our ISO9001 certified
company distinguishes itself in the market as a
designer and manufacturer of high-quality niche
applications. The series of size range from 1 to about
250, a weight of 1 to 10,000 kg. On the customer's
request, the blocks are produced plain or completely
provided and tested with components by its sister
company Hydroplus.
MABOTEC has highly automated the production of
manifolds. After a manned day shift, some machining
centers continue running unmanned and objects to
be machined are loaded into the machine with a
robot. Automation is the answer to competition from countries such as Italy and Turkey. Innovation of machines and tools needs special attention.
The investment in the WFT13 CNC boring mill supports this vision. For years, our desire was to further implement automation into the production of heavy manifolds. After several visits by our management and staff and Promas, the Fermat factory in the Czech Republic has opted for a version with a Kuka robot for exchanging heavy and long drilling tools. The machine is equipped with robust block guides that provide the stability required for heavy machining. Displacements in the X-, Y- and Z-axis are, respectively 3000, 2000 and 2000 mm. With the powerful Z-axis motor (30 kN) deep holes in the manifolds can be drilled with a diameter of up to 200 mm and a depth of up to 2000 mm. The spindle sleeve has a diameter of 130 mm and a 730 mm stroke. The machine table may be loaded up to 10 tons, measuring 1400 x 1600 mm, and is double motor controlled according to the master-slave principle. The positioning accuracy is 0.1 mm per 1000 mm. The robotic tool changer accommodates 105 tools. The power of the machine is 37 kW and maximum torque is 3039 Nm.
We consider the investment in the innovative boring machine as a major impulse to Mabotec's sales of heavy manifolds to machine builders, especially large German builders of giant hydraulic presses for the steel and automotive industries.
At the beginning of 2014, Mabotec BV received an inquiry for the production of a number of extremely big hydraulic manifold blocks, including two blocks with a raw material weight of approximately 14 tons each.
This was a problem for us because of the maximum lifting capacity and machine load of 10 tons in our workshop.
However, through a unique cooperation with our customer Siempelkamp Maschinefabrik GmbH, we were able to realize the project. A team of engineers from Mabotec and Siempelkamp proposed a plan of action and the blocks were then partially machined on a PAMA CNC machine center in the production hall of Siempelkamp in Krefeld, Germany.
It was because of close cooperation between the engineers and production staff of Mabotec and Siempelkamp plus the availability of our special cutting tools, which made it all possible.
After the blocks were partially machined to an acceptable weight of approximately 10 tons, they were then further produced in the Mabotec workshop.
The hydraulic manifold blocks are part of the hydraulic system for a gigantic Siempelkamp heavy forging press with a pressure force of up to 50,000 tons! (www.siempelkamp.com)

Early 2013 Q.T.H. and Mabotec discussed the issue of Multi Mounting Cubes, which, using one of Mabotec's horizontal machining centers, would increase production efficiency. In particular, the conversion of machine pallets with now existing clamping tools requires a lot of time.
According to the product measurements and the amounts which Mabotec has produced in the 12 previous months, Q.T.H. had been able to design the needed Multi Mounting Cubes. Next to a feasibility assay the dimensions were chosen and the clamping systems were finally designed.
Mabotecs stand has been an interesting attraction for many who have visited the Hannover Messe 2013. Mabotec exhibited at the Hannover Messe, as it does every 2 years. For a great deal of hydraulic manifold related parties Mabotecs stand was the place to be. Those who have visited the Hannover Messe this year have seen innovative developments on behalf of Mabotec.
Mabotec encountered an overwhelming success in terms of interest and response. As a major key player in the world of hydraulic manifolds, Mabotec has shown its outstanding capacity with meeting the highest technology standards required nowadays. Presenting Mabotecs speciality to machine stainless steel, such as AISI316 and also other exotic materials happened to be distinctive.
There was special interest in our exposition of a SUN configuration, which showed a 3 step development: the manufacturing process from raw material (HYT60) to a hydraulic manifold and finally to a manifold system used for hydraulic control of the Ampelmann Gangway (www.ampelmann.nl). This configuration embodies up to 56 different SUN valves, which is considered to be a world record regarding a SUN integrated hydraulic manifold system.
Again it has been acknowledged that Mabotec maintains to be a leader in the market of hydraulic manifolds.

MABOTEC, a producer and supplier of hydraulic manifolds, has anticipated upon this development. MABOTEC has a long experience as a specialist in machining stainless steel, such as AISI316, and also in exotic materials with excellent mechanical properties.
